PSPUAE running on Release: TN-V4 for PS Vita 3.01
« on: December 17, 2013, 12:47:36 PM »

I'm not sure how many of you have a PS Vita but I tried PSPUAE 0.72 FAMEC on the newly Release: TN-V4 for PS Vita 3.01 (I have the EU version of Megamix 101 on my PS Vita 3.01) and I'm delighted to say it works great, the unselectable disk/states is no longer present and you can run states without issues.

I've been waiting a while for this, maybe some of you are the same, just thought I'd bring it to folks attention.  :)

i previously reported that Beta13 was practically unsuable on  TN-V3 due to the crashes.

I have been running 0.72 for this reason also.

I'm a little lost regarding what is the Latest version of PSPUAE, just noticed a 0.83 version is in the pipeline!

I'll have a prod around with 0.72, see what does and possibly doesn't work.

I'm not sure guys, but you will know, the exploit I'm currently using only allows access to 32mb of PSP memory, some earlier exploits allowed access to 64mb of ram.
Did we ever get to use the 64mb of RAM? or was PSPUAE always a 32MB RAM homebrew? if we did use the 64MB  RAM, then maybe only having access to 32 MB ram is going to screw things up?

Then again, I know the PSP1000 only ever had 32MB RAM and the PSP2000 had the 64MB RAM, so I'd guess PSPUAE was a 32MB RAM
emulator.

Hey Horace  :) think you maybe better off on TN V4 now.
try here: http://wololo.net/2013/12/09/tn-v4-is-coming-should-you-update/
kinda explains things better than I ever could. I'm really happy with it, along time waiting though.

You missed my recent flurry of activity?
Check the beta thread for latest version, that allows around 32MB of RAM.

LOL, since the merger with Ultimate Amiga, I seem to struggle navigating my way around and finding exactly what I'm looking for, rather I tend to bumble my way around until i hit something.

I do check in fairly regular, especially now I ditched that Kingdoms of camelot browser game.

I'll dedicate some free time next week, I'll try a few things out now we have a PS Vita/PSP CFW, its worth further investigation  :D

I will do some more work on this tomorrow and Sunday.
Ill go with what horace said, I have progressed to far to go back to very early version.

Ill have a go at fixing Screen issue and cd32 buttons.
Then continue looking at HDD support. So close to this now, its driving me nuts.

It appears the savestate works on TN V6 on PS Vita, using 0.72 PSPUAE at least.
If you try it, give the savestate a good few seconds to save, it first appears to have locked up, just takes quite a while to finalize the savestate process.
So 0.72 PSPUAE works great on PS Vita.

As a side not: King of Pool still exploitable on firmware 3.01, hurry up and get it before its pulled.

Couldn't tell you, still can't justify buying one.
Got to much electronics I don't use.

Posting this on my nexus7 in the car while wifey is shopping.
This is the first in months I have use it. Hence my problem.
However, car, internet and 80's blasting = HEAVEN!!!!.

I decided to run the risk of updating this morning, and very please to report PSPUAE as working. Pretty sure it's the higher-end of memory usage too (although i am running the UNO exploit)

It's far nicer to use than the PSP... nicer screen, better quality controls - the beauty is, mine was a gift so i didnt pay a penny for it!
