and please dont say that any game runs perfect on this emulator. i havent played any game yet with 0 FS on this thing yet (been testing for about 30-40 games) and therefor no game is perfect emulated. most of the games need 2-3 FS to be fullspeed.

my thoughts entirely, though i wold say 1-2 for most, which isnt much different to PSPUAE if you get the options right... just the difference in sound quality.

Since baboon requested it: I replaced "left Shift" with "right Shift" in the control scheme, because right Shift is used in "North and South" to switch your unit type. Now just use R-Trigger+Cross-button to switch unit-type in North and South.

Finally implemented ANALOG MOUSE control:

The mouse pointer moves faster the further you move the PSP's analog nub. If you hold the R-Trigger the mouse pointer moves even faster.

So per default the analog is mouse and the dpad is the joystick now.
You can swap these by pressing "Start + []" to have dpad as mouse and analog as joystick again.

Overall there are now 5 different control modes:

1) Default Control (activate with "R-Trigger + Select"
or "Start + X")
2) Dpad Mouse & Analog Joystick - Control ("Start + []")
3) Alphabet Input Control ("L-Trigger + Select")
4) Pinball Dreams and Numeric Input - Control ("Start + O")
5) Dpad = Numpad 4, 8, 6, 2 and analog mouse - Control ("Start + /\")

"Alphabet Input Control" has all 26 letters of the alphabet.
"Pinball Dreams and Numeric Input - Control" has the numbers 0-9.

I created EBOOTs for the resolutions 320x200, 384x216, 414x240 and 480x272.

This time they are available as KERNEL and USERMODE builds:

In 480x272 and 414x240 can you fit screen to center screen and add black border ??? and add save state for games ???

john4p

Don't think I'm able to implement save states (but you can save in games that allow this, like WINGS).

About the horizontal centering I'll have a look at the weekend...

FOL gave me the tip to set a certain parameter to 1 (instead of 512) - which gave PSPUAE a slight speed increase last year when they were testing the FAME/C core.

I rebuilt the current version with this change. I compared Turrican II running on the current version and with this new one but couldn't really see a difference. But he said it would bring only a minor speed increase anyway - so it's hard to notice without a fps-counter.

Download this alternate version here if you want to compare it yourself (320x200 resolution KERNEL BUILD):

edit: nothing changed in this version - no need to download...

john4p

Now I know why I didn't feel any difference: I forgot to delete some prebuilt files before rebuilding. Tested it again and: there is a speed increase!!!!

Okay, it's really only a very slightly speed increase and some maybe won't even feel any improvement at all, but there's more to it:

Paradroid 90, one of my favorite games of all times, always locked up after a couple of "droid-control-battles". Not anymore! With this new version, I played for 30 minutes and had no problems (it always crashed after a few minutes with the old version - and I've tried it about 20 times...).

So probably this version is also more stable!

Thanks a lot, FOL!

@John4p:

For some reason your new user mode eboots do not work on my psp. I've tried them all and it just keeps quiting out with an eror code '80020148'?

I haven't got the kernel add on on my psp so I cant test the kernel builds. I've tried ttymans user mode eboots again and they work fine??

edit: I've just tried you previous user mode eboot 'PSPUAE4All_analogmouse_ctrlmod_vadjust_usermode.zip' and that works fine, so I guess thiere is a problem with the way you've compiled the new usermode eboots?

Oh and by the way on testing this on the new 3.90 M33 that has literaly just been released on DAX's site.
