errrr, i thought fellow WAS largely x86 based, and the porting of it over to C++ had been abandoned?

there is uae4all of course, but quite frankly, given the limitations of it compared to e-uae, it doesnt seem worth it. the gp2x uses this and they still dont even have save-state support.

this has all been discussed many many times in the past.  FOL is right, and we must wait to see what comes of current developemnts before asking after other ideas.

aye, fellow was 100% x86, which was ported to windows (winfellow), then from that it was being converted for C....  the code was maybe 70% developed before it was abandoned  :'(

It was just an "A500 emulator" and there were no plans to improve it for AGA...

.. now, ...  PSPUAE on the other hand ;-)

damn, all we need is just a little more speed and it'll be almost perfect X)   good luck mr chilly!

john4p

Well, "Amiga 500 only" would be totally sufficient for me (don't think A1200-games can run full speed on PSP).

But it looks like Fellow is no real alternative (maybe through a perfect DosBox one day ;)).

I'm really looking forward to Chilly Willy's improvements using E-UAE. I guess this project is the first that could make me donate (some day... ;)).

I'm very late to learn of Chilly Willy joining the development of PSPUAE.

But it is still some great news to learn and I can't wait to see the next release.  I know the name well as I've used his KeyCleaner program on the PSP before now.  After a year of relatively little activity with this promising Amiga emulator we now have something to look forward to again. :)

@FOL, let me know when you have anything new to announce regarding PSPUAE and I will post it on the news on CA.

Could you need more beta-testers (or alpha-testers ;))?

we will have to see how the current selection performs first, sorry.

It is possible to "acquire" beta-tester status by making yourself an invaluble member of the PSPUAE team however, but one would have to contribute something (more than just forum posts) regularly  to acquire such status - and such an occurance is rare!

we have previously had trouble with people thinking beta-testing is just a "free ride" to an early release, and as such they have had their status removed due to failing to contribute even the most basic testing feedback.

Already said, chilly is still working on it, you cant rush these things, when I know something you will know. I can tell you, i emailed chilly last week and he said he is working on it. Dont forget chilly does alot for the psp community, so he has to devide his time between all his projects.

Spose he gave up on PSPUAE, like others have, :(. Apparently the asm core isnt that hard to implement into the current version for someone who knows what they are doing. i.e. it needs the registers checking.
