looks quite interesting, stilll, not sure if I'd part with the amount they're asking for, definitely not a thing of beauty!
Uh oh! He's back, err... no, it's those pesky thargoids again!

Without support from game devs and a few major companies I  don't think it can standup to PSP - even with it's CPU power. I would love to see it in action however. That is if it hits the market finally...

I read recently (i think on dcemu) that on a dev pandora machine they've got full speed amiga emulation working (pandora is basicaly a mini pc anyway though). I doubt ill be raiding the piggy bank to get one though... id rather stick to pspuae and winuae on my laptop - would love to see a wii amiga emu sometime in the future.  :)

Yeh I seen the video too, but there was no sound, we all know PSPUAE is 95% fullspeed with no sound.

This pandora is a far off phenomenon that has lots of hype but contains liitle substance to backup it's worthiness.

I'm tired of the trumpet blowing, let's wait and see if it cuts the mustard.

The way it's progressing (ie: very slowly) I'd estimate a 6-12 month introduction peroid, before I'd be willing to pass any sort of judgement or purchase.

although i cant really put in my two cents technically, i've heard some stuff about it.
i dont think im interested O.o although..oddly enough i really like the design. i like the fact it looks like somebody dug it out of their "stuff from the 80's" box in the back of their cupboard.
<3 but then again ive always loved stuff that is old, or looks old.

...

lol.

Pandora preorders are about to begin any minute...

Advice: you can also buy the new GP2X Wiz which will be able to run most OCS-games at fullspeed with sound, too. It's cheaper but has a tiny 2.8"-screen (yet very bright because it's OLED!).

You need to preorder from a shop. It's gbax.com for you, I guess (gp2x.de for Germans).

after all the hassle of the Nintendo DiSappointment there's no way i'm buying another handheld console just for the sake of one emulator. i have enough trouble coding on my laptop screen.

preorder is active now, but no paypal support ..  :-\

SNES9XTYL ME++ isn't bad, but it's far from perfect. The Pandora will be the first handheld to be able to fully emulate Super NES and the Amiga 500  (later maybe even Amiga 1200).

And maybe we'll even get to see some (almost) fullspeed N64-emulation - with sound. Almost certainly not every N64-game, but "Ocarina of Time" maybe since it ran on my old Pentium III fullspeed in UltraHLE (I know - totally different system, but still...).

@Anemos: That's sad. Gp2x.de has PayPal-support - so I was lucky...
