I have just discovered this new console or extra mini PC, features and the little size of this console of this linux based console are very attracting, I bought the psp for homebrews and emulators, so this new machine seems to me to be perfect!!!!

unfortunatly, it takes a big company like sony or apple to have any idea of good design.

the thing is ugly, with a keyboard that looks like a revamped zx spectrum... only the keys arent rubber.  whilst this is somewhat quaint for a machine from the early 1980's, we're almost 30 years on from that now, and frankly such looks do not suit modern machines.

the gaming controls, not only look badly placed, above the keyboard, but the thing is too straight. there is a reason the PSP and PS1/2/3 controllers are curved.... its because it suits your hands. What is being done here is going back to the early days of nintendo's "Game & Watch" series, but with a bloody great keyboard in the centre, and with a machine much larger by comarrison, and certainly a lot thicker. i cant see it being very comfy during prolonged gaming. Even the PSP suffers that problem after a while, and that's a fairly familar layout.

i dont doubt the capabilities and the spec of a machine such as Pandora, i just see many of the same issues on a design level that i also have with the GP2X - so it's highly unlikely i'll be buying one.

For me, the design is not important if the console is reliable and the screen is good. For the gaming control, I have read it was good thnaks to the little size. And if the console is enough powerful to make work AGA game, it sound good for me. :)

Anyway we have to wait to see th first report of the console.

Agreed, :). If it can emulate the Amiga at fullspeed with AGA, all i can say is "get in", ;).

Yeah, I was tempted by this, but at the price they're asking (200 quid), I think I'll just spend a bit more and have a mini-laptop and gamepad instead (plus it's a lot easier to convince the missus that I need a laptop!). My fingers are too fat for that keyboard anyway.

If by some miracle I find myself with the money and nothing to do with it, then, erm, maybe.

Well, I would say, dont rush out and buy 1, just to emulate the amiga. We are still here working on a new version, :).

getting hold of one wont be easy anyways, I'll wager. maybe a psp 3000 and all the emulators will be just as good a buy at 129.00 quid and more portable.  :o

I have been playing gameboy advanced and nes games on my nokia N73, the emulators are good, quite suprised!

Pitty the amiga emu isn't available :(
