I just wanted to share my excitement.

I managed to write a very crude version of the Hello World program, compile it to cli on an .adf and with the help from a member of EAB got the thing to boot up and run on it's own (once I had edited the startup).

To say this made my day was an understatement, you guys probably don't get why I am so excited...it's because I have never been able to do such a task, no matter how simple it is. I am now completely hooked!

I downloaded the Game Makers Manual by Stephen Hill and have been studying like crazy for the last few days. The pseudo-code has helped me so much! I honestly had no idea how to structure a program before but now I have a vague idea...and have started planning 2 programs, one is a simple text adventure (very simple) with a view to making my first game (also very simple).

It's very early days yet but I am optimistic and confident...so there's plenty of time for that to change haha!

I just had to share. :)

I am very happy for you  :)
I also read the gamemakers manual, and also found it very insteresting, very good source
for amos programming. This book is a godsend for amos programmers.
Cheers !!!

It feels good to finally have things make sense, even if it's just a little bit.
