If you want to publish the game, I would leave them all off in case you don't get back to it.  Makes sense?

Yes, that's a sense thought. Or else I could just let the game be for one player to begin with.

Sure!  If you were planning on doing 2-player alternating instead of 2-player simultaneous, that would make even more sense!  Just dropping the second player would be the sensible solution.

Yeah, I think that would probably be the best. The 2-player option could wait until I'll got the main parts of the thing working together satisfyingly.

It's not a simultaneous 2-player type of game so it may not even gonna feel like that option is even missing very much.
