Eek!  I just went to the Downloads section and there's nothing there!   :o

What happened?

I looked, then logged in, then looked again.  Apparently you have to be logged in to see all of the downloads.

bruceuncle

I am logged in (couldn't have posted otherwise  ;) ).

The attached is what I see.  I've circled the Logout button so you can see I'm logged in...

I guess that one of the admins will have to figure it out.  I'm only a forum moderator.

What browser?
As its working fine here. With Safari, it works fine for first 5 visits, then all the images go screwy, I have to empty caches and its fine again.

I am also having problems with the download section.

I went to downloads (when not logged in) and saw only PSPUAE downloads listed (despite going from AMOS Factory homepage, aswell as Ultimate Amiga homepage).
I logged in and went to downloads to find NO downloads at all listed, exactly as seen in bruceuncles picture.

I am using Firefox 3 (3.6.22) on Windows 2000 SP4.

Try now, looks like a permission issue, not sure why it was altered.

Thanks, that seems to have done the trick. I see the AMOS related files now too :)

bruceuncle

I can now get to the downloads page.  But the categories are listing zero files for AMOS Factory and a few others.  If I click on AMOS Factory there's nothing there (the zero should have been a clue  :) ).
Was it something I said?  ;D
Screen shot attached.

It might be something to do with the "Amos dev" supergroup which for some reason takes priority over "regular user" for permissions....

Can't really check while I am stuck using my phone ATM.

No worries.  No rush.  I didn't need anything, just wanted to refresh my memory of what's there.  :)

Getting better but no cigar!

I can now see the AMOS entry in the main downloads page and it shows 39 files.
But when I go there, the only section is Extensions.  No docs, etc.

And now, when I try to go to downloads, I get the "Waiting for ultimateamiga.co.uk" message for a while, followed by the "This page can't be displayed" message.

But previewing this post works fine.

And the "Waiting for ultimateamiga.co.uk" has just fixed itself (after a good few minutes of trying).  Very strange behaviour.  Is big brother watching?  :o  ;D

I changed some permissions but it was taking ages on my phone. All the sub categories need permissions for Amos devs added

I get this alot with Firefox, I refresh and it works. I think it has something to do with the new flash plugin. I had to downgrade to flash 10 and firefox was back to its awesome quality.

Ahh...  That makes sense as everything works fine if I bring IE up with all add-ons disabled.  So I've been progressively disabling stuff to try to find the culprit.  But as Flash is so common, I haven't tried disabling it yet.

Interesting to note that Microsoft Windows Phone (which runs its own internet security and won't allow any to be installed) has an outright ban on Flash.  It won't let it be installed.  A bit of a pain but not too much of a problem as I mostly use the smartphone as, erm well... a phone  ;D.  Plus I don't "do" social media (puking sounds in background).  Just an occasional peek at a few favourite sites.  Give me a desktop with a full high def screen any day!  Preferably with an Amiga window grinning back at me from WINUAE  ;).
