Archos Gamepad

Hi Folks,

Archos just announced an Android gamepad with physical controls! For Amiga-gamers on the go, this could be the next PSP, or the better PS Vita. 

Unlike the PS Vita you don't need to hack it, it looks good, it only seems to be a bit bulky with its 7 inch display. But then, let's see it as a tablet with controls.

I looked at this, but its sucks spec wise for the price.
Nexus 7 is much better spec and runs everything lovely, plus I dont have a problem with onscreen controls.

Think you will find it will need to be hacked (rooted) to use alot of things.

Agreed on the specs part. But I want a portable device for amiga gaming with real controls. Or better with a competition pro.

specs dont look that bad for what is only £120.

I totally agree about the controls thing - you need physical controls for amiga games - onscreen is awful, not even good enough for a lot of ZX Spectrum games imo.

I'd consider this if i didnt have to be spending my money on doing-up the house!

Ive had no problems on the Nexus 7 with on screen controls. Hey, thats just me, . I can always bluetooth a joypad up to it, .
