I was all ears in spring 2008, but now it's just pathetic. NatAmi - Ifever  :P
Hypothesis: Current scientific thought suggests we have already achieved max rocking level.

Perhaps max-rocking levels could be radically increased with creation of 30ft tall motion controlled guitar thrashing robot simulacrum.

Result: We rocked the f*ck out.

I'd say they aimed too high without a proper financial background. Even when they tuned it down to more standard components they underestimated how much work was needed to get it going.
Oh and Gunnar surely didn't help either ;)

I believe every similar (big) effort has many problems and slows, there will be some disagreements between the group .. must be wait to see..

As a member of the NatAmi team, I can give a little bit of information if you think to ask.

The NatAmi MX board is being manufactured in sample quantities as we speak.  It is expected to arrive in the hands of the team members in January.

I share the lack of enthusiasm when comparing it to the likes of the Retro Replay though.  The fact that we haven't had a working prototype to test on except the LX board hasn't helped matters any.  The biggest advantages we have is that we have a much larger FPGA than what the Retro Replay board has so, given enough time, we will be able to make the NatAmi MX last a little longer than Retro Replay's useful life.

About the only soft cores finished are the N68050 processor core which should blow the doors off of the Retro Replay as it will clock at 100 MHz or better depending on what clock speed the FPGA for the MX model ends up with.  There should be an article about the N68050 coming out soon in a Polish webzine.

thanks for info SamuraiCrow, i hope the project stills as start theory (fully compatible with old Amiga hardware software..) together with new OS and the new high resolution games..
Well, the hardware still compatible with old Amiga OS also?

We're aiming to be compatible with Kickstarts 3.0, 3.1, 1.2 and 1.3.

Anemos

Thanks for answers
this is important to me,and think for all classic Amiga lovers..(full compatible with old)
keep up the good work.

But, theres no pricing or anything.
They promised it, over 3 years ago.
Plus IF is ever sees light of day, I think theres going to be problems.

As I said before, better things have / are comming out.
So whats the point?
