Hey guys,

Given the fantastic recent release of PSPUAE, I just wanted to ask a simple question in terms of what is the future direction of PSPUA?  If this question is too early then just just ignore!

I'm curious...

To early at the moment, as things we are discussing might not lead to anything. The main thing at the moment is to get an updated E-UAE incorperated into PSPUAE, but the latest version of E-UAE has some bugs which are being worked on by the author at the moment. So all we can do at the moment is wait.

Me thinks I said "moment" to many times, but you get my meaning, i hope, ;). Doh you posted in the wrong place again, moving thread to development forums, ;).

Hi all guys! First of all, thank you for your hard effort this emu

We were discussing this, when cyclone first came about, i had actually forgotten about our past discussion, until gnostic reminded me. It is impossible as cyclone will not work with PSP, :(. We still have FAME C, but its very incompatable, a lot of stuff either wont run or crash while using / playing

Is there any timeframe for the next release of this emu?

I wont give a timeframe, as that would put chilly under pressure to deliver. This wouldnt be fare to him, but he is working on it. Basically, when we know, you will know, ;).

Chilly is basically rebuilding the latest E-UAE soruce from scratch with PSP in mind. So it will only include code relevant to the PSP. Im sure he will post here explaining more once he see's this post.

I'm working on the video right now. After that, I can start trying to work it into a compilable form for testing. After that, the GUI can be added. That's when a beta will be ready. Hopefully, we'll be at that point by next weekend.

I can completely appreciate that a new private/dev beta will take some time to come out until the bugs have been ironed out etc, but it great news to hear that a new public release is eventually in the works.   ;D

As always I'm really looking foward (and obviously being patient) to the next amgia-psp instalment.  :)

Indeed, rest assured, im sure Chilly will work the BetaTesters hard. I will help where ever possible, :).

To use "modern" terms on all this, FOL will get the beta to send to the normal beta testers normally used with PSPUAE, then I imagine release candidates will get posted here after some of the major bugs found in beta testing have been dealt with. Back when I was doing most of my major work, this was called "alpha" and "beta" instead of "beta" and "release candidate".  ;D

Thank you for the update info Chilly Willy sir! I was just curious, I throughly enjoy retro gaming on the PSP and relish in the thought of playing Amiga Games at full speed with sound. Amiga Forever!

Thanks again for the update
