Ill, have alot further into this, at a later date. As im quite busy atm.

Also, are they going to fix the speed selection problem?

I dont think so . Ahman and stonecut implemented it as a safetymeasure to prevent frying of the wifi chip . thats also why there is no in-game switching between clockspeeds in IRshell

You know that doesnt inspire confidence, :(. I hate messing with stuff, to make stuff run. Setting up options in PSPUAE, is alot different from messing with the hardware of PSP. Anyways the Wifi gets really hot anyway, i left mine connected to the net all day once (forgot about it) and it roasting when i came back hours later.

As it is, i havent altered anything in recovery and everything runs fine, no messing, no hastle.

Been looking into this, and im sorry, i cannot recommend using PSPUAE with nethost, if anyone does want to use PSPUAE in this manner do so at your own risk. From what i have read IRShell breaks the safety measure (the psp wasnt ment to run CPU at 333Mhz with WiFi turned on). Which is fair enough as it gets damn hot.

If you really want to use it in this manner, then use it at the default 222Mhz (which is pointless imo). Im not trying to be negative, but using it this way will cause us head ache.

I know what the next answer will be "how will it cause you head ache", well what if we did mess around sorting it to run perfect with IRShell, then loads people come here blaming us for their busted WiFi or PSP.

So until there is conclusive proof that you can run PSP at 333MHz with WiFi on (without damage) for hours on end, theres no point exploring this route as yet.

Yeah , sadly ive come to the same conclusions as you .Talked to different devs about it and also with the latest news about cpu speeds from sony , it seems 333 and wifi should be avoided as much as possible . The psp gets seriously hot while using pimpstreamer for a few hours in 333,although I havent bricked any psps that way yet.

Hey ....its still a kickass emulator ! :)

Cheers to you,Fol and looking forward to new builds .

If you are wondering about psp hw related stuff in your coding, just drop me a line and i´ll try to help you out as much as I can

try here guys, i have submitted a huge compilation of games which run well!

Hi,

I was reading, some of the post's, and think you missed some topics here, namely this thread, the other being the plugins slow down thread.

I know for a fact super cars runs near full speed with sound, using chipset option, set it to 85% or 93%, also I found that having certain plugins running (in my case Capture.prx) caused a slow down. Chipset can help speed games up a lot. On some the only side effect is some slow down with on screen gfx.

Alright guys - quick question - i seem to be having a display proble after using the reset option.

The screen goes off centre, leaving a bar down the left hand side of the screen.

Ayone else having this problem with v0.63.

Cheers

EmuChicken

its been said loads of times... when you reset, the auto zoom gets turned off to stop unneccesary crashes....  just turn it back on again with L R and select (I think!)
