I've been trying to remember the name of an amiga game that weren't particularly well known, but which I liked a lot. It is a bit hard to explain what it was about, but here goes:

Picture a tunnel going inwards in the screen. The walls of the tunnel was made up of squares/tiles of different colours. The point of the game was that the player flew inwards on those tiles at a very fast speed. The tile you were on was always below you, so when you pressed left or right the tunnel rotated one tile clockwise or anticlockwise. Some tiles would slow you down, others give you a speed-boost. Some tiles would be missing.

If this runs well on PSPUAE I think it would be an excellent PSP-game. Probably wouldn't be hard to do as homebrew either. The name of it is completely lost on me, though...

Hmm, thats a tough one for me. Is there any other details you can give?

Try here if you dont mind searching, its probably the best place to find your game.

I remember it had a short intro of someone sitting in a chair and getting "jacked in" or something. I wonder if the intro didn't zoom into his eye or something like that. The whole game had a "demo-scene" feel to it. Between levels I also remember that there were graphics of planets that got zoomed into. As for the name, it was something short and hard to remember. I thought it had  "X" or "Z" in the name, but I've gone through all databases searching for it by those letters and found nothing, so I might be wrong.

This really bugs me. It was a great and original game. Very fast paced and intense.

Only 2 that sounds like to me are, Starglider or Interphase. Aquaventure has in between levels like you described, but doubt its that.

I dont think it's starglider he is thinking of. Maybe Interphase though.

looks like an amstrad game I used to play ;)

I've played it a bit now, and I'm happy to say it runs very well on PSPUAE, even with sound. :) Still found it fun, too. Highly recommended.

Thanks a lot for making the emulator, btw. That was the main reason for me buying a PSP in the first place.

Nice, glad your happy.

Its the reason, I wanted to downgrade my 1.52 (which I updated to 2.00, just cause the instructions told me to, ;)).
