Wow! not the best way to start off in the forums here mrbob2! :o

Quotei have a LOT of fave games and i just want to whack in a adf and play.

surely though if these are your 'fave' games then taking time to make sure the games you love work is definately well worth the time, rather than throw in the towel at the first hurdle and dismiss something as, and I quote, "not quite usuable at the mo". If you take you're time with PSPuae then you'll realise what great a job FOL has done with it so far, and you will also realise why some of us spend so much time using it... I buy games for my PSP all the time however PSPuae probable gets used 90% of the time over everything else... surely that say something against you're 'not quite useable' comment... anyway rant over!  :-X

As you are probably aware if you read through other threads in this forum that we are all willing to take the time to help people out. but we'd need some info, some games admittedely are sluggish, some have naff sound, we are all aware of this and that's what drives FOL on to make this a better emulator with every new release.

Now down to business, 'drops bat and adopts friendly smile' what games were you trying out? some of us have tested hundreds of games, maybe we have a config already sorted for the ones you want?   ;D

Uh oh! He's back, err... no, it's those pesky thargoids again!

hey, sorry for diggin' ;)
first of all i wanna say that i dont know nothing about how to write anything usefull on psp ;) so im very appreciate to people who doing things like this
i check what GP2x really is (never heard about it). our dear friend mrbob2 told us that GP2x emulation is very good and all games runnig smooth and nice. its wierd because this machine (GP2x) has a 200mhz CPU.

GP2x Specifications:

   * Chipset: MagicEyes MMSP2 MP2520F System-on-a-chip
   * CPU: 200MHz ARM920T host processor, 200 MHz ARM940T programmable coprocessor
   * NAND Flash ROM: 64 MB
   * RAM: SDRAM 64 MB
   * Operating System: GNU/Linux-based OS
   * Storage: SD Card (Latest firmware supports SDHC)
   * Connection to PC: USB 2.0 High Speed
   * USB Host: USB 1.1
   * Power: 2 × AA battery or via AC adapter
   * Display: 320×240 3.5 inch, 65,536 colors TFT LCD
   * TV output
   * Physical size: 143.6 mm wide, 82.9 mm high, 27 mm (excl. joystick approx.) / 34 mm deep
   * Weight: 161 g (without battery)

as we know our handheld has a 333 Mhz CPU so its more powerfull then GP2x. why there is a such a difference between emulation speed ? (of course i dont know how it really works on GP2x, i just trusted what i've read ;) )

FOL

Two words.

ASM CORE.

;). Still waiting for someone to help me with the PSP's ASM Core.

Oh and the fact GP2x is open source, PSP needs to use hacks.

Yes with an ASM Core, like UAE4ALL on GP2x has.
The only down side is you loose cpu's above 68K.
