We have released a new version of PSPUAE (Amiga Emulator for PSP), changes / improvements are listed below.

* Dumped all sound bar stereo, in an attempt to gain speed
* Corrected Makefile error, which lost us some speed
* Add CYCLE_UNIT as option, setting is either 512 (Normal) or 256 (Turbo)
* Add Chipset CYCLE_UNIT as a hidden auto switch option, that switches with CPU CYCLE_UNIT option
* Fixed screen going off center when switching off auto zoom and when selecting 4:3
* Add lock for new CPU option, stops accidently pressing option and invoking a hard reset
* Add config option checking to check cycle_unit, screen position, cpu lock and sound delay for old config files
* Add SOUND_DELAY option, this allows us to switch between 1 and 9 ms. (9 ms does speed things up, but causes sound to breakup a little)
* Add Hard Reset to Main Menu
* Add Hard Reset when PSPUAE hits "Fetch Error" (stops fetch crash/loop if Cycles set wrong after loading config)
* Altered Cycle Turbo, CPU Chipset timing to higher value (only when using Turbo Cycles)
* Dumped Sound Optimise as it did very little and caused crash
* Fix Audio Event time
* Fix Audio delay (FOL, added this as an option, so a few more FPS could be gained at the expence of the audio quality).
* Fix Home Button Exit crash, if you were in PSPUAE menu.
* When cycle unit is changed, pspuae will hard reset instantly
* If KickStart 1.3 is not found it will look for any other kickstart, with the following name format, KICK205, KICK30 etc etc. If none are found, PSPUAE will exit to PSP XMB

Remember Read the README`s.

Looking forward to trying it out, thanks a lot for the hard work!

I read this in the announcement:

" Fixed screen going off center when switching off auto zoom and when selecting 4:3."

And I'm still experiencing this when I turn off auto zoom.. just a heads-up.

the screen centering issue is also still a problem when you knock off the turbo lock and switch on turbo mode, the reset starts with the screen offset to left.

all you need to do is re-center the screen after the reset, then resave the config when its centered, you have to resave the config to hold the turbo "on" setting in your config anyway, so it never really bothered me  :)

I still think you should have a savestates config section in your downloads section FOL, if this is your final release then it might help new users have all the settings set to optimal config, thus doing away with problem game settings.  ;)

Bust state, redownload it from site, and try the config file first, if still playing up try replacing the state.
As I done alot of my testing on TurricanII, I know it works fine.

Knowing that you talented few are tinkering away on newer and better versions of UAE for PSP, gives me a warm feeling.

Just thought I would post and say something.

People seem to be slagging 0.72 off fairly bad on some sites. Simple fact is they have no clue on what has been changed or how to change options. I have also seen posts saying 0.71 was worse than 0.70 and 0.70 was the best so far, this in its self is a joke. 0.70 was fast simply cause I made a mistake with audio event time and left 1 audio update out.

Im not going to let it bother me anymore, cause I dont care. I can play 90% of the games I like on the Amiga with decent speed and sound.

So for the people that dont like reading readme's, heres the score.

I added the change cycles, so you could in effect switch between 512 (default) and 256 (gave speed increase since 0.70). It was best to do this, so we have best of both worlds. Some games ran fine with 512 and would not run with 256, so this was the logical choice.

I also added the Restart command, so this option is fully usable. Also I found that selecting restart after every adf / state used gave a speed increase same with after pspuae starts.

FACT IS, PSPUAE is the fastest its ever been. With chilly's sound fixes, PSPUAE has never been better.

It was also sugguested, to make some config files availible. However im seriously in 2 minds wether to bother or not.
