Quote from: Wizor on 15 May, 2026, 06:21 AMSo did you also pack it to two disks and then decrunch in ram? I've been thinking another approach still :)

My Phat1000 does not have the ISOCache option. CFW6.60. Also no option in system settings. I seem to recall that was from the PSP2000 onwards. Since they have more RAM to spare for the caching.

With the beta5 i got that 9.5 megs, but this b19 is not getting even getting to 8 megs.

Yes old pspuae, you should be able to get 9.5mb. Custom firmware I have does cache on Phat.
Also 0.95 Beta 19 is bugged for Phats in a big way. Didnt think it would cause so many issues.
I will have a look at it when I return home on Sunday. I can only manage 7.5MB on my Phat.

Spent weeks updating it. Be a shame to scrap it all and start from scratch.

Obviously 32MB works fine on models after Phat, also MP3 player.

I have a bootable HD floppy adf, that boots, unzips it to ram and then runs it. Then I save stated it on title screen.
Works fine on my Go!

Update working on it now. Its pre-allocating around 4mb for color tables, working on making it do it dynamically when needed.
Also will reduce memory heap size, currently have it set to use all except 1MB.

Have tried everything I can think of. Something changed a long time ago, without me noticing.
I dont have a clue whats changed. Cant be new toolchain or compiler as your gettign issue on 2014 release. So it happened way before then.

I have worked out a workaround though. Get your RoguecraftDX folder. Copy everything but RoguecraftDX.exe to it.
Then download shrinkler from its github page, then use that to cruncher the RoguecraftDX.exe.
Copy output crunched file to HD disk you created (rename it to RoguecraftDX.exe). You should end up with, save, .slave, crunched .exe and icon file.
Create S dir, then ed startup-sequence, add RoguecraftDX.exe and then save and exit.
boot that HD adf and it works fine with 4MB z2 FastRAM and 2MB ChipRAM. Takes a long time to load, just wait. As soon as title appears, hit select and savestate.
