I know that Amos is quite powerful and capable, -but-
It isn't very os- friendly, and causes some problemsin expanded Amigas..
So, would it be possible to write a WHDload slave for Amos (any verson) ?! :-)

i dont think you really need it, although it is something i've considered.

The only hardware that i find AMOS doesnt like is graphics cards, and i'm told you can get around that by using the Intuition extension and opening your AMOS screens in that.

You may still have to code on a non-gfx card machine though, i dont know.

Another problem is that the AMOS hard drive installer doesn't like partition sizes over 2GB.  Anything over this size returns a negative value when checking for sufficient space to install, thus causing the installer to fail.  An install to a < 2GB partition and then a COPY ALL to the larger partition worked for me.

Hi,

I recently managed to install Amos PRO on my A4000/060/CV64.
It was the v 2.0. I just copied the installed Amos folder from my A600 plus the two config files of
Amos that were on s: , so far so good.. I mean there are no problems except when I press the 'Workbench' icon the Amos quits...

If you hit left-amiga and A together it should bring you back into AmosPro.
