site chat needs moving, as the abime.net server is moving  (irc.abime.net will work in the future tho)

irc.projectmage.com

Thats right, cant do ports HENCE its broken. You didnt think I broke it for a reason, jeez.
If you would stop changing server this wouldnt be a problem.

As I said, you state a PORT and the app doesnt have an option for PORT.

And besides I forgot about it, will sort as soon as possible.

wtf you going on about getting all defensive? my point was that is is broken because of abime.net changing, not becuase you broke it - where did i say "you've broken it" ??

excuse me?? we've had ONE server change to abime.net, (which i would like to add was only becuase you couldnt get onto EFnet)  and now irc.abime.net is temporarily not working whilst the new one is tested. how exactly is that me doing anything? do I own abime.net now?

QuoteAs I said, you state a PORT and the app doesnt have an option for PORT.

then it's crap.

you can probably put it in like so:  irc://irc.projectmage.com:6669

why the hell don't they just replace the oh so crappy java chat applet (which i'm pretty sure can do ports) with mibbit instead?

http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=453134&postcount=9

and from chat: (using a proper client)

<eLowar> it's a one-time thing and it's only temporary, sort of.
<eLowar> people need to stop bitching :)
<HungryHorace> when irc.abime.net works, will this still work?
<eLowar> yeah
<eLowar> I just can't open port 6667 because of network restrictions, unfortunately
<HungryHorace> so when its irc.abime.net redirect.... will the port on that be 6667 redirected to 6669 ?
<eLowar> irc.abime.net will be open on both
