@ FOL

I am going to have a bit of a break from coding on AMOS i think.

I would very much appreciate your help with trying to tweek e-uae for use with Linux (and, ultimately, the PS3) , so i have some questions!

1 - Do you have Linux set up in some form for compiling native linux versions of e-uae?
2 - How is your familiarity with inputconfig.c in PSPUAE? It is mostly functions from here I would like to tweek, but i suspect it is only some parts that would be needed (for us to discuss)
3 - Do you have some time to give me some help, maybe on some weekends? :)

Anything you can do to aid me would be wonderful, and appreciated.... you know i hate C! I do have a program on

It's such a shame that the slim PS3's do not support 'OtherOS' ... perhaps this will mean hackers will be more determined now though!

I remember us discussing this before. Just aint had any time to look.
I can setup a partition for linux. just to compile e-uae in linux.

The next few weeks to a month are very busy for me, so will have to try and arrange something after.

I have had some dealings with that pesky input file, ;).

interesting development.

it seems gnostic has been working on uae for "unix-ish" systems, called p-uae

i would be insterested to know how nicely this works with PS3 linux, and if it will solve my control problems.

would be nice to get gnostic back here for a chat on the matter

A few questions came up in this thread: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=623099&postcount=12

Quote from: KittyAlso Hungry Horace, that NoWriteCache option you said to enable is that something that should also be enabled for a normal ClassicWB/pc/whdload installation, to make saving easier?

i do it on every setup, because it makes saving instant. That way, if the power goes out, or my laptop runs out of battery, or i reset the machine because i forgot no to, my saves/highscores etc are always stored. It's a personal preference :)

Quoteafter hearing what you said about the splash screen speed on whdload, I adjusted it down to 0 but it still seems to take about 5 seconds before the splash screen goes, (my whdload is registered btw) didnt seem to work for me

WHDload version number?  A typo in the tooltype? It's worked here for quite a while (and can be seen in action on the video)
