Sorry if I've been incommunicado a bit lately but I've been tied up lining the pockets of the medical profession again.  Nothing to do with my back this time.  A bit worse actually...

I've got a few more appointments to attend over the next few weeks before I go into hospital.  The operation is expected to be scheduled for around the third week in August.  Final date won't be known until a meeting on 7th August - I'll post the details then.

I will be out of action for at least 6 weeks.  Oh well, plenty of time for more reading.  Time to look at the compiler maybe?  I'll keep you posted from my smartphone but work on the PC will have to cease for a while (should have got me a laptop when I could afford one!).

I'm sorry to hear this news.

I wish you the best with the medical tests and hope you will be back to fighting form quickly.

Finally got a date from my specialist on Monday.  My op is scheduled for Tuesday 15th August.  So I'll be out of action for at least two weeks and pretty stuffed for about 6 weeks.

I also have the 'flu that's an epidemic over here currently (it put my wife in hospital overnight last night).  So if I haven't recovered sufficiently it may get postponed.

Oh well, such is life...  >:(

Ah, sweet release!  Finally back home and recovering (will take about 6 weeks).

At least I can sit at my PC for a while, so I'll be posting again whenever I can.  Lots in the pipeline.  ;)
