Title: Craft extension
Post by: Hungry Horace on November 12, 2008, 09:31:15 PM
I recently purchased a full copy of the 'Craft' extension off ebay for a couple of quid, boxed, manual, the works.

whilst many of the better commands seem to be similar to a few featured in Turbo and/or AMCAF, i think its an interesting thing to look at and consider if nothing else.

I've not seen any copies / details on this forum, or anywhere else for that matter. Anyone interested in me ADFing this, or know much about it?

it was incredibly cheap (£2-3)  , but no, i havent really used it, as the most useful things can be found in other extensions i think!

i bought it purely for reference on this site!

Not all of it. I don't believe there are any commands in other extensions that allow you to draw Mandelbrot/fractal imagesby just using a couple of commands. CRAFT also has a cool ability to allow you to store the current screen colours in a bank for future use (you can store multiple sets of colours too) and swap them from the colour bank to the current screen colours just as easily.
Fans of the Logo turtle will love the turtle commands too  :)

I have had CRAFT for years. Not used it much though. It also comes with MusiCRAFT which adds more music commands which are probably in other extensions.
I thought I had uploaded all the extensions I had, but I must have missed that one :(

Sorry I didn't do it sooner, but I have been buried under piles of work and projects :(

All relevant files have now been uploaded to the "More AMOS Extensions [EXT]" thread in the "Submissions" forum. I have included the original installer files aswell as the CRAFT and MusiCRAFT extensions. For a command list check out this file:

http://www.geocities.com/aliensrcooluk/public/AMOS_ExtCommands.txt

It's still a very much work in progress, but all CRAFT (and MusiCRAFT) commands are included as part of the listing. The extension number can be found on my site, on www.amigacoding.com and I think it's on here somewhere too ;)

If you have any problems let me know.
