Title: Hi there (Selectanovel^Moodsplateau)
Post by: Novel on 02 Nov, 2008, 11:16 PM
Hi everybody,

my name is Matthias and I live in Hamburg, Germany. I'm a musician (Protracker) and member of the amiga demoscene group moodsplateau. I remember having played around with Easy Amos back in the 90s when it was released on some british Amiga magazine. After having tried to make my own graphic adventure I gave up because I didn't want to read into coding and understanding formulas (I was a teenager back then and totally against maths).

Now that I'm in the demoscene since 2004 I have many ideas, mostly style concepts that should be easily realised with amos. I had so much fun doing my own fun-demo (Salami Tactics - I has a demomaker - Rank 5 at breakpoint 2008) with the karate-skript engine and now I want to advance a bit from that.

There are several thing I want to achieve with amos:

- demos with lots of oldschool effects and nice still pictures
- an economic simulation like mad tv or mag (you know, those typical games where you run around in a house and basically just adjust variables all the time). I'm working on a concept here
- a beam slide system for an old school demoscene party named maximum overdose, held (almost) anually in Lübeck, Germany (and of course, an invitation for that party). That is, I want to have beamslides with Scrolltexts and animations. :)

Well, I guess I'm now going to work through the freshly released manual and learn how to let bobs fly around and how to open screens properly...

See you later!

Welcome to the amos list. Amos is lots of fun, and easy to use :)
BTW download the last version of amospro from our site, is free and has new features.
Good Luck in your demos !!!
