i find it quite useful as a "reminder" or overview book.... and the disk of examples (uploaded here) is pretty good.

Its not got a great deal of depth, but it does give you good ideas on how to go about coding different types of games.

i'd recommend it, but dont pay silly money for it.

Yeah,

I have that book too. Haven't used it in a while, but then I haven't done any coding since Nov 07 since I have been busy archiving the AMOS-LIST message archive.

Why would you need it when according to you, you can show everybody how it's done?

merged with previous topic.

On topic:

i stand by my previous comment. it's a useful guide, but not too in-depth. Some nice examples of techniques to use (although no help with regards to optimisation)

The disk which comes with it has been uploaded to the downloads section, and a direct link is here:

http://amos.condor.serverpro3.com/tp-downloads/UltimateAmos.zip

it has some interesting example code on it.

If it is under $15 or under £10(real money ;) ) then buy it.
If it ends up being useless then at least you have a nice piece of nostalgia or reference.
