Title: PSPUAE No Go
Post by: Washac on 21 Mar, 2010, 12:10 PM
Hi All

First of I assume I have the right version PSP for this, it is a slimline v3.95.

I can get as far as the initial loading screen but cannot get any further.

Left side of screen shows a small window of different games, right window shows PSPUAE 0.72

And that is where I am stuck.

Hi All

I understand that  have to install the required firmware to my PSP before I can run the emulation correctly ?

If I do this will my PSP still function as normal ?

it was a while since i did this but under my time you needed another psp with firmware 1.50 so you could make a pandora battery and magic stick to it

Just so you all know, this user is using a MAC, does'nt have PC. Has anyone here with a MAC, managed to downgrade?

Not true, how are you going to inject the IPL on to the stick?

Have you got a MAC utility to do it?

err you do it all with software on the PSP. No need for any Mac/PC software.

You need access to an already hacked PSP though to do the Pandora conversion.

And there lies the problem. Not everyone has access to a hacked PSP.

there are HEN programs and other exploit methods available surely though to do that?

Afterall, my first PSP was downgraded with the GTA Exploit.

I dont see how you could possibly "need" a PC to downgrade.

Hi All

Whoa slow down please and also I do not understand the tech speak abbreviations.

Can somebody please set me up with an idiots guide as to what I need to do and how to my PSP
so I can run emulation please, and yes I do run a Mac.

My PSP is a Slimline running Sony v3.95

Been informed over on the EAB site maybe not to downgrade the firmware on a latter day PSP.

slim works at least it did with my pal on V.4.02 the important part is to get your hands on a pandora battery and a magic memory stick
i will look into it again as it was a while since i did it ... aka will find a newbie guide... will be hard to find for mac though

to run uae u nedd :
upgrade to 5.03 ofw
hen exploit

u can do pandora manually by  cutting 5 pin of eeprom in baterry its surely works i did it with my battery
u can make reflash to m33 or gen with hen exploit
magic memory stick is normal ms but with special files dont need any special formatting

nowadays you dont even need to downgrade...  you can get pandora kits that install the CFW that you want if you set it up then pop in the pandora battery...

unless you have a psp3000 that is... or the 2000 with a dodgy motherboard
