I am new to this Forum and need help with the PSPUAE. It seems not to work on my PSP. It comes up with the "Plugin" errors, but I have only recetly purchased my PSP and have any plugins (Plus WTF are PSP Plugins???) I need some serious help, and I thought you guys were the ones to talk to.
Just to let you know, I have PSP-3000 and no Custom Firmware. May it be that? I don't know.
And excellent work with the PSPUAE!!! I am surprised to find someone has made one for the PSP.
I do have the windows UAE, but I can't exactly take that with me palces, can I? :D

You do need custom firmware. I suspect there are a few threads on this forum on how to get it, but be careful because it is a slighty different process with certain versions of PSP's.
I can't help you with that since I cannot remember how to do it, but maybe someone here can help. I suspect you will get a quicker answer if you searched our forums or even the internet, just make sure that whatever process you look at, it is for your type of PSP. There is no real risk since if you brick your PSP, you can restore it with a pandora battery or something along those lines.
Sorry I can't be of more help, I am sure someone will help if you keep prodding us.
Welcome to PSPUAE.com :)

Hi,
Skate is half correct.
If you have a new 3000, then you cant hack it via a pandora battery etc etc.
I believe the only current way to run custom firmware is to run the chickhen loader.

i think there might be a datel battery to downgrade the 3000 with in future, although it seems it ran in to legal trouble, so i am not 100% on that... might mean something else in the future though.

Really, when was this announced. Havent seen anything regarding this.
Only the ChickHen exploit. Which only loads the CFW into RAM, once PSP is turned fully off, you would need to reload CFW through ChickHen.

Explains why I never noticed it. $ONY took legal action and made em yank all their tool batteries.
So no, it cant be hacked. It can olny be modded on the fly, as I described.
