Title: Amos Pro for sale on E-bay
Post by: skateblind on May 03, 2009, 11:36:37 AM
Its going for £100!! I know it is the best programming language out there and that it is slighty rare, but still, come on!

I will probably make an offer for considerably less, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has put a high reserve on it.

I have offered him £20 for it. I doubt he will take it, but fingers crossed.

If I win it, then I will stick it back on ebay for £200 ;)

I also offered him £10 for Frontier, which looks to be in excellent condition and complete.

*EDIT* He made a counter offer of £15 and I offered him £13 for it, which he accepted, so in total, plus posting, its £15.99 *EDIT*

Check out how good it looks:

I found some more AMOS links on ebay:

AMOS Compiler:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200340067593
- looks like there are a few more extras disks, I presume those are copies. £15 is too much imho, might try get them for £5 or something

AMOS - The Creator version 1.2:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200340067104
- looks like it might be missing the extras disk. Again it is £15, but I am sure I can get it for £5 or less because of the missing disk.

Easy AMOS and AMOS - The Creator Disks:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=300313553492
- All looks fine and at £4 I would say its a bargain.

I might buy all 3 for collection purposes, especially the last 2 links because if the AMOS - The Creator auction is missing a disk, I can add the right disk from the Easy AMOS auction, if that makes sense...

Let me know what you guys think and what I should offer or if I should offer anything at all.

*EDIT* I bought the easy amos package. I offered the other dude £8 for Amos the Creator and £8 for the Compiler, he rejected the offer and I have no run out of available offers, so screw him :P . *EDIT*
