Hi,
A bit late, but as promised.
Here is the BETA with AGA support. Still needs alot of work (so dont expect great speeds).
I will try to make more time to get it working better, still need sound sorted and HDD support.
To use AGA at the moment, you need to select it on first boot under quick start configuration.
I am aware that the menu is screwed up on chipset selection. Its on the to fix list, ;).
Its attached below.

ooooo ;D
at a time when I left my PSP2k on the train... 16mb ram will have to do ;-) ... or was it 32 on the 1000?
-
Well I had to release something. Im not very well, but thought I have to do it.
Take it people aint that interested in it, then again, I aint spammed the forums like I normally do.
Having AGA working aint nothing to write home about yet, still lots of other stuff I want to do.
-
Well i'm certainly intrested FOL, I check regular for any news on pspuae :o
I tried this release with action cat, it runs very well and I'm glad you've fixed the ghosting on the right hand side of the screen :)
these amiga games are much more fun than any PSP mini games!!!
Out of all PSP emulators, I still look forward to any pspuae release most.
good luck guys ;)

Thanks FOL for constantly improving PSPUAE! Its my favorite emu on PSP and I appreciate very much the hard work you put into it!

Indeed NEVER, ;).

Nice to see a new release! :) ...shame my brothers got my psp at the mo and he lives 3 hours away. :(
-
Good on you FOL.
Great to see your continued support of this useful EMU. :)
-
Delighted you're still working on this, FOL. ;D

I was thinking about it, just never knew it was on floppies, only ever played the CD32 version.

disk version is ripped there arent the book of zarg and music when digging is ripped// ultimate body blowws wasnt released on disks
that is why u should make cd32 uae version checkout www.thegamearchives.com
-
it *isnt* "ripped" its an official release (see my previous link)
i just tested it, and there is mod music to fill in where CD music was used.
since there is no CDDA support on PSPUAE, you'll have to live with that i'm afraid.
afaik, you need scsi support to run CD games with UAE ... something you cant have on pspuae (and the same reason i dont have a scsi-enabled version running on even my ps3)

Ouch, if I could run cd32 stuff with CDDA, dont you think I would, lol.
I think pspuae has alot of potential, but only as far as emulating an A600 spec at full speed via an asm core. Once this is achieved then a drive to getting HDD will be made.
Horace is right about scsi support. If we had hdd support, the cdda may work when setting up a hdd as cd0.
-
its only ma dream to have cd32 in psp better u should make stable emu for 1200 i know its officiAL release i wanted to say that they have cuted of tracks from cd 32
btw did u run diggers on 0.80 i have frezze or psp is crashing so i cant run it
-
pfft! Amiga mods are far better than that cd music thingamibob ::)
-
Nice to see the qj users (most of) suck big time. I couldnt even be bothered to login to reply to the stupid comments.
Look if coders want to help, then please contact me. We were let down by Chilly Willy, so I wont be so trusting again.
There is an asm core, which will get us full speed (or as close to), however I need help porting it.
-
I observed those comments to FOL, some weirdo going on about how we really didn't care about improving speed anymore ::)
I can see how people loose intrest in PSP developments, there's way to much hunger and not enough Patience or understanding.
I actually get the feeling that these people like to provoke a challenge to devs with such comments, they actually feel that by behaving like a spoilt, impatient brat that they may get a result.
What do you do with a child that wants everything right here, right now?
ignore...ignore....ignore...ignore....ignore....Dont give in!!!
I was never fortunate enough to own an Amiga in my youth but pspuae has given me much fun trying the games of yester year :)
long live the Pocket pspuae!!! ;)
-
I have said same before .. The FOL need help from someone with knowledge of code, it would be much help.
It might be all we gave a donation to buy the job-assistance of a possible developer.
-
spedd in 0.72 is perfect superf rog lamborghini american challenge project x its run i wiould say exacly as amiga
-
Thank you for this and some of us with patience are certainly interested in your work and very much appreciate the time you dedicate.
-
@ FOL: I use QJ a lot, check the comments but never write stuff in there... you should do the same, read, then (as delta stated), take information whats needed, then ignore (as stated above)
... its obvious that everyone wants all emulators to run at "full speed"... its just something we need to live with, and youve done a great job so far with all the speed updates and tweaks that have gone into the project so far.
Another possibility (that you may or may not like) is to release it open source, much like the Daedelus... the amount of updates thats had is insane. Yet the people at QJ seem to post it after every little thing done to it.... then the people commenting are like "great job team daedelus" .... then comment on the speed ^-^
ASM build... whats needed ? programmer with what knowledge exactly?
-

errr.. take a look in the downloads section if you want the source. Usually released a few days after the build.

The reason daedelus went nuts for awhile is because someone promised to help pspuae, then didnt bother, instead he joined daedelus.
Yes I dont know asm, im still teaching myself C. I have the asm core and its workable, there is also another set of 68k cores I would'nt mind looking at.

... theres a lot of people working on daedelus - and its not just all from one person (chillywilly), its a collective of geeks who want to program the software...
- Too bad theres a lot more interest in coding an N64 emulator than an Amiga Emulator :(

I know that, but he done some good stuff with it.
-
Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the work that's been done so far. I've been messing with Amiga's since my dad bought his first 500 back in 89 (later sold it for a 2000). Anyway, most of what I've messed with so far on my PSP is pretty darn close to the mark.
Yeah I wouldn't sweat the young punks (as it doesn't seem you have) over at QJ for being upset that a handful of these games don't run at 100%. A lot of those guys weren't even born early enough to see Amiga computer go under much less have an appreciation for what that period in time was like, or trying to pack it all into a persons pocket. :)
Edit: I do wish they could get a decent 64 emulator going though... Even though I always thought the 64's controls would be way too ackward for a PSP.
-
im from 1993 and i think teh best games are from years that i had 0-2 years
why evry one buys amiga i thought it was play machine

Well I didn't mean any offense to those who have an appreciation. I was just caught up in the heat of the moment. :)

np :) i wanted to mak ethread alive
meybe u runned diggers or marvins marvllous adventure on 0.80?

Thanks for the comments.
Im having trouble at the moment though, as work commitments are keeping me busy (Amigakit has just been announced as the official retailer for the new Amiga X1000).
I really want to work on both PSPUAE and UAEWii, :(.
On a side note, simon has just updated UAEWii. He seems to have fixed the DOS GFX glitch. I just need to add HDD support and we are set.
-
Thanks for everything, FOL!
Are you yourself hoping of PSP2 hardware to be announced at E3?
If they can get homebrew working on those, you should have a lot more power to work with..
-
EDIT2:-
I done it, PSPUAE is now running on the PSPGo.
EDIT1:-
Spent most of the day on PSPUAE (UAEWii is finished as far as I can help, cant get it to compile, so Im screwed). Im currently sorting it to compile with the latest toolchain. We do loose speed (someone cocked up the toolchain, I did report it over 2 years ago, but nothing was done), but the new toolchain features out weigh the speed decrease.
Once I finish, I will be able to compile with some of the new features and hopefully get it running on the PSPGo. Once I acheive this, I will then continue working on PSPUAE. I will take another look at the second PSP Media CPU. I really need to fix some of the current bugs too.
Thanks for everything, FOL!

Would be nice, to have faster hardware. I still think alot can be done with second cpu core on current PSP's.
