Since last post, been spending all my time, trying to track it down. Ripped my source apart.
Still no answer. I then thought, I would try old releases, 0.72, exactly same issue, so that ruled out source, compiler and toolchain.
I then tried it on my old fateful day one phat. Low and behold everything ran flawless, not one pause. So something is causing issue in later models.
I now have a half done wip4 and wip3 (which includes full scsi emulation for CDROM). If I can nail this pause issue with later models, I will go back to working on wip4. I will be trying to alter firmware tonight. Maybe ARK-5 is causing issue with later models.
In all this hunting for bug. I found that last (beta 0.90 Beta 4, not beta 26 HDD) release is pretty damn fast. Compared to 0.83, it runs mostly at 25 FPS on light scenes 60 -70 FPS (obviously to fast). I didn't realise I had got to that speed. With new overclocker, is near full speed (mine can run at 443MHz).
Well that sure sounds weird. You're not referring as far as Vita? Just the 2k and 3k revisions?
I could buy a Vita from a friend, but been a little hesitant since it would probably be not used much. I like my phat :) Been cycling to work also so not possible to play on the road.

Oh my god, someone finally replied, :).
Its all good, its ARK-5 Firmware I only installed it to play with overclock. When I boot ARK into Vanilla firmware mode, all eboots work 100% perfect. Had lotus running in background for over an hour. Not one pause. Same signed eboot on ARK full CFW, paused for 32 secs as soon as ot started to load floppy.
Anyway, have reported this major bug. So hopefully they can fix it.
I have started tinkering with pspuae 090 B4 again. Its very fast. How I never noticed before, is mind boggling.
I want to try the crazy gfx backend I did for WIP4, as that gained us another 10 to 15 FPS on WIP4.
So at present Im finding alot of things on pspuae that were not playable before, now very playable in 090 Beta 4 (shame I lost all the other betas, was up to 14). Examples, Lotus 2, unplayable FS would hang around 44, meaning it only renders 6 Frames out of 50. Now Lotus FS is hanging around 25 - 30, which works out to be, skip every other Frame. Which is very playable for Amiga, as most stuff was designed for 25 FPS anyway. Same story for Lotus, and Apidya. Apidya was a big suprise. It sucked hard, now very very playable.
Oh side note, I screwed up with 090. Im the reason, RAM disappered. Will be corecting that. Current test eboot, gives over 10MB of RAM.

Please tell me you have seen a Go up close and personal. I love mine. Its lightly smaller, but screen is stunning.
Just bought an SD card adapter, that goes inside. Very cool, :).
Did you try HDD version, its alot slower I feel. Did you get HDD to work?
More importantly, the MP3 player, :)
