I horace is correct, I have been doing some work with UAEWii and I have got it to boot HDF's. So yes it does, pspuae is using the older version of E-UAE and I think this is where the problem lies.

Hello Everyone,

I understand that the latest build of PSPUAE has HD support ( 0.95 beta 26 ) not sure though How to use it.

I've enabled HD from menu, created HDD/HD0 folder inside PSP/GAME/PSPUAE folder on my PSP, and placed an HDF file inside.

But nothing happens, should I do something else/more to have it booted? (assuming that the hdf file is correctly partitioned and formatted..)

Thanks for keep working on this project!

Regards,

Andrea

Hi,

As I already stated, source code is a mess. So far I was only able to get Folder support working.
Easy way to do it, launch winuae, select the hdf you wan to use. Also add folder HDD in winuae and point it to your PSP folder (obviously psp needs to be in USB mode). Then start winuae. In your hdf, copy all its contents to psp folder. In a shell do "cd (name of your hdf):" then do "copy all to (name of your PSP folder): clone" It will then copy it to folder.

4GB drive size and 2GB part limitations should not apply with folders.

Dont worry, PSPUAE v2 is coming, just finishing all remaining stuff. Just finished add FAME/C that uae4all2-HDD-Vita uses. Now back on to JIT support. Determined to nail that once and for all.

Also, its worth noting, we will never get full speed from 333MHz, so you have overclocker and have benched marked your PSP, its worth running at higher speed. Mine can do 444MHz, that makes every extremely playable. Im just hoping I can get JIT working like it should abd 333MHz can benefit.

Hello,

I did actually try to use xdftool ( on linux ) to extract the hdf content in one folder.

Like this:
xdftool dune.hdf unpack root: .

It seemed to work (at least the unpack phase)

ls -l

I copied the folder content in PSP/GAME/PSPUAE/HDD/HD0

I enabled the HDD on PSPUAE options and did a soft reset... and nothing happened  :'(

Am I missing something? ( using KICK13 )

Andrea

Wheres the game files?

I only see a few folders and an Italian exe. Wheres the main game files? unless they are in test?

It definitely works, :). You will always have issues with 1.3 unless you have a custom 1.3 rom with 3.1 scsi.device injected into. 1.3 does not support scsi.

It worked!

I changed to KICK204 and it worked

THanks,

Andrea

Glad you got it sorted. I know there is a patch somewhere online, that adds scsi to rom, but I not been able to locate. I patched mine in 2010, so not sure where patch went.
